Physical DescriptionA model of a single-masted, broad-beamed Breton cargo vessel. The wooden ship is painted white above the water line and green below. A small cabin on deck can be removed to reveal a table and two benches. A dory hangs over the port side. The ship has no sails and flies the Breton flag from the top of the mast. The model is mounted on a wooden cradle stand and base. In the lower right corner of base is the maker's signature: A.E. Feuillye. The model is housed within a wood and glass case.
Historical NotePresident Roosevelt gave this model to his grandson, Curtis Roosevelt. Curtis Roosevelt later donated it to the Roosevelt Library
