Physical DescriptionA small black and white poster titled, "TELL IT TO THE MARINES." It features a drawn illustration of a uniformed American Marine holding a rifle across his chest with the words "THE SPIRIT OF WAKE ISLAND / AGAINST OVERWHELMING ODDS" above him. In the lower right corner of the Marine's image is a cartoon depiction of Japan’s Emperor Hirohito in a military uniform with a speech block that reads: AMERICA CAN / BE INVADED / AND WE'LL / DICTATE PEACE / IN WASHINGTON. The artist's facsimile signature is in the lower left corner of the illustration: PLASCHKE.
