Physical DescriptionA 48-star American flag made of red, white, and blue crocheted rosettes that have been attached together. White stars have been embroidered onto the blue rosettes forming the canton. The entire flag has a gold-colored crocheted rope edging, with an added gold-colored fringe on the top, right, and bottom edges.
Historical NoteThis handmade flag may be the one sent to Franklin Roosevelt in December 1934 as a Christmas gift by the maker, Mrs. Peter (Nora) Rashid of Detroit, Michigan.
