Physical DescriptionA World War II U.S. Army conservation poster titled “Preventive Maintenance Today Prevents Breakdowns Tomorrow.” The black, white, and orange poster features a black and white photographic image of a U.S. Army soldier checking the tire pressure of a military vehicle. On the image, an arrow labeled “Use Back of Your ‘Trip Ticket’ (WD Form 48) AS YOUR GUIDE,” points to the illustration of a form titled “DRIVER'S DAILY PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE SERVICES.”

The poster includes the U.S. Army Conservation Program “SAVE” logo. Small text in the bottom margin of the poster reads: “ARMY CONSERVATION PROJECT NO. 150-0-30 / U. S. GOVERNMENT PRINTING OFFICE: 1945—O-639000.”

Printed on the reverse side of the poster are instructions for posting and distribution.
