Physical DescriptionA pair of black leather baby shoes lined with tan colored fabric. The shoes have ankle straps with Bakelite buttons and silver shoe buckles.
The shoes come with the envelope in which they were originally stored. On the envelope is a handwritten note by Franklin D. Roosevelt's mother, Sara, that reads: Baby Franklin's first shoes worn / from 5 months until 9 months / old - Oct. 30th 1882. S.D.R.
