Physical DescriptionA three-masted, square-rigged model of the frigate, USS NIAGARA. The ship, made of selected seasoned wood and ivory, has a black hull, brown trim, and no sails. The rigging is of hand spun silk. Attached to the masts is an American flag and three nautical flags. The model is fixed to a base designed to represent the sea and is enclosed in a metal-trimmed glass case.
