Physical DescriptionA pottery bottle. The bottle is decorated with a brown and white collage around the upper portion and on the handle. There is a single spout at the top center and a handle at one side.
Historical NoteThis pre-Columbian Late Intermediate culture bottle is made of clay and was decorated using a pre-fire slip painting method. It is part of a collection of twenty-five selected examples (MO 1942.348.74-95) of pre-Columbian pottery from Peru that was presented to President Roosevelt by His Excellency Manuel Prado, President of the Republic of Peru, on the occasion of his visit to the United States in 1942.Additional Details
