Physical DescriptionA charcoal sketch, with chalk highlights, of Franklin D. Roosevelt, Jr. done from life. Done on buff paper, the head and shoulders portrait shows FDR, Jr., turned slightly to the proper right, wearing a dark suit jacket, a white shirt, and a dark tie. FDR Jr.’s pencil signature is directly below the portrait: Franklin D. Roosevelt Jr. The artist's stamped signature is in the lower right quadrant: S.J. Woolf. The date is written in pencil along bottom edge: 9/1/46. A series of pencil notes are in the extreme upper right corner, though it is not known if they relate to the portrait.
