Physical DescriptionA campaign poster. At the center is a black and white photographic headshot of Franklin D. Roosevelt superimposed on a blue-tinted photographic background of a crowd of workers. Above the portrait, red and white text reads: 1A IN OUR DRAFT. Below the portrait, in white and red, is the CIO-PAC logo and the text: POLITICAL ACTION COMMITTEE. A New York union bug is in the lower right corner.
Historical NoteDemocrats circulated a wide variety of campaign material, including many produced by labor unions. The political action committee (PAC) of the Congress of Industrial Organizations (CIO) was especially active in the campaign.
