Physical Descriptiona) A gold filigree necklace accented with freshwater pearls and seed pearls. The necklace consists of 15 linked rosettes finished at the bottom with a bow-topped tear drop pendant. The maker is not indicated.

b) An unmarked maroon leather jeweler’s box.
Historical NoteThis necklace was donated to the FDR Library by Anna Eleanor Roosevelt, the granddaughter of Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt. It had been a gift from Eleanor Roosevelt (the donor’s paternal grandmother) to Agnes Schneider (the donor’s maternal grandmother) sometime between 1942 and 1954. Eleanor Roosevelt was known to often pass on items that she obtained on her travels around the world.
