Historical NoteIn 1938, a sheet of 100 "cinderella" stamps titled, "Abraham Lincoln - Immortal American," was published by the Prints and Poster Stamps, Inc. company and copyrighted by R. L. Parkinson. The sheet included five sets of twenty designs by artist Louis Bonhajo. In 1940, Parkinson reused the stamp designs and, through the Historic Prints & Poster Stamps, Inc. company, issued a sheet of twenty non-postal stamps that included added language promoting Wendell Willkie for president. These stamps are from that sheet of twenty.
