Physical DescriptionA campaign jugate poster. At the center of the newsprint poster are oval sepia tone photographic headshots of James Middleton Cox (left) and Franklin Delano Roosevelt (right) with “Democratic Nominees for President and Vice President” printed within a circle between them. Below each portrait is the nominee’s name and a biographical paragraph followed by the photographers’ names: “© Underwood & Underwood” for Cox, and “© Bachrach” for Roosevelt.

The poster is adhered to a piece of matboard.
Historical NoteIn 1920, FDR was the Democratic Party’s candidate for Vice President of the United States on a ticket headed by Ohio Governor James M. Cox.
