Physical DescriptionAn oversized color poster (constructed from 12 separate sections) featuring an illustration of a group of cannons all pointing upwards and firing brightly into a dark sky. On each cannon is the flag of an allied nation. Blue and white text at the top and bottom of the poster reads: “UNITED we are strong / THE UNITED NATIONS FIGHT FOR FREEDOM!” The artist’s facsimile signature is between the British and American cannons: “KOERNER.” Additional text in red along the right side has the poster number: “OWI Poster NO. 70.”
Small text along the bottom of the poster reads: “OWI Poster No. 70. U.S. GOVERNMENT PRINTING OFFICE : 1943–O–531627.” Along the right side of each poster section is a number identifying where it belongs in the overall poster layout.
