Physical DescriptionAn original caricature portrait of Eleanor Roosevelt drawn in black ink. The portrait consists of a head, neck, and upper chest view of Eleanor, turned partially to the right. Around her neck is a single strand pearl or bead necklace. Below the portrait is the artist's signature in ink: Owen.

The caricature is mounted to a window mat. A pencil-drawn double border frames the opening.
Historical NoteThis caricature of Eleanor Roosevelt was sent to her in October 1946 by R. Douglas Baker of New York, NY on behalf of himself and former G.I. artist Ralph Owen. Baker and Owen had just started a greeting card business, Celeb-CARDTOONS, with the intention of designing personalized Christmas cards for famous individuals based on their individual caricatures.
