Physical DescriptionA round, brown enamel copper ashtray with a cigarette holder. Brown felt covers the underside, to which is attached two labels. One label reads: The White House. The other label, a manufacturer's label, reads: Duk-It McDonald Products Corporation, Buffalo, N. Y.
Historical NoteFDR kept this ashtray on his Oval Office desk. It is on display in the FDR’S OVAL OFFICE DESK exhibit in the Museum’s APRIL 12, 1945 gallery.
