Physical DescriptionAn aluminum small-scale model of a two-sided propeller blade. There are two maker's stickers adhered to the piece, one at either end: HAMILTON STANDARD PROPELLER COMPANY.
Historical NoteFDR kept this model of an airplane propeller on his Oval Office desk and may have used it as a letter opener. It is on display in the FDR’S OVAL OFFICE DESK exhibit in the Museum’s APRIL 12, 1945 gallery.
