Physical DescriptionA green and white model of the hull of the yacht, SEWANNA, on a wooden backer. The piece is designed to be hung as a plaque. On the wood backer are two metal inscription plates. The one directly below the hull reads: YACHT SEWANNA. The second plate, along the right edge, reads: RECREATION PROJECT / W.P.A. 65-14-2354 / MARBLEHEAD MASS.
Historical NoteThis model was created by workers at the Works Progress Administration (WPA) Recreation Project W.P.A. 65-14-2354 in Marblehead, Massachusetts. The workers presented this model to President Roosevelt on November 5, 1936.
