Physical DescriptionA round pinback button from the campaign of James Cox and Franklin Roosevelt. On a dark blue background is large white text that reads: COX. Superimposed horizontally across the center is a red band with white text that reads: ROOSEVELT. The manufacturer's information is printed on the reverse.
Historical NoteIn 1920, FDR was the Democratic Party’s candidate for Vice President of the United States on a ticket headed by Ohio Governor James M. Cox. This Cox and Roosevelt campaign button is on display in the RISING POLITICAL STAR exhibit in the Museum’s FOUNDATIONS OF A PUBLIC LIFE gallery.
