Physical DescriptionA miniature carving of an elephant made from polished ivory. There are no maker's marks.
Historical NoteFDR kept this figurine on his Oval Office Desk. It was a gift from F. Heimann of New York. The figurine is on display in the FDR’S OVAL OFFICE DESK exhibit in the Museum’s APRIL 12, 1945 gallery.
