Physical DescriptionA white crocheted picture featuring the American flag with text above and below that reads: TO KEEP ME / FLYING / FIGHT FOR ME / WORK FOR ME. The crocheted piece is sewn over a piece of yellow silk upon which had been appliquéd blue and red silk which show through the open portions of the crocheted American flag, forming the color components of the flag.
Historical NoteThis crocheted picture was sent to Franklin Roosevelt by Meri Ciconi of Jeannette, Pennsylvania.
