Physical DescriptionA small silk 39-star American flag.
Historical NoteThis American flag was sent to Franklin D. Roosevelt by Annie Davis of New York, New York on November 2, 1940 as a token of good luck for the upcoming presidential election. The flag had been given to her husband, a Civil War veteran, sometime after his honorable discharge from the military in 1864.
