Physical DescriptionAn original black and white caricature of Franklin D. Roosevelt. Consisting of just FDR's head, the portrait is made from bold black strokes. The eyes and mouth are composed using the letters of FDR’s initials. The drawing is signed by the artist in the lower right corner: Vitch.
Historical NoteIn addition to being a mime artist, the artist of this drawing of FDR, Eddie Vitch (née Ignace Levkovitch), was a talented caricaturist whose caricatures of famous patrons adorned the walls of Hollywood's Brown Derby restaurant.
