Physical DescriptionA three-masted, square-rigged wooden model of the frigate, RALEIGH. The ship has a teal and black painted hull and white trim, some deck detail, elaborate rigging, and no sails. At the bow is a figurehead of a man, as well as the name of the ship. The model is mounted on a wood cradle base.
Historical NoteThis model was presented to President Roosevelt by Donald Wills Douglas of Santa Monica, California in April 1934.
