Physical DescriptionA white envelope bearing a U.S. 1937 2¢ Jackson & Scott Army and Navy Issue stamp (Scott 786). On the left side of the envelope is a red, white and blue patriotic cachet depicting an American flag and an outline of the Hawaiian Island of Oahu indicating the location of U.S. military installations. Text at the top of the cachet reads: GOD BLESS AMERICA / ONE NATION, MIGHTY AND INDIVISIBLE / OUR LIBERTIES WE PRIZE. . . OUR RIGHTS WE WILL MAINTAIN / ARMISTICE DAY / 1941. At the bottom of the cachet is a red box with white text reading: Island of / OAHU, T.H. / America's Mightiest Fortress. The cachet was sponsored by The Honolulu Advertiser Stamp Club. The cachet artwork was done by Jerry Chong of The Honolulu Advertiser.
The envelope is hand addressed in ink to: Mr. F. D. Roosevelt / White House / Washington D. C. It is postmarked Honolulu, Hawaii, November 11, 1941 with a SCHOFIELD BARRACKS STA. cancellation. The return address is stamped on the reverse: MR. J. B. TINDELL / Medusa Aviation / Naval Air Station / Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.

Tindell mailed President Roosevelt this stamp cover from the Pearl Harbor Naval Station one month before the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor.The envelope is hand addressed in ink to: Mr. F. D.
