Physical DescriptionA carved wooden model of a Viking long ship, named FDR, with gilt and wood mosaic trim and red and white silk sails. The name of the ship is found on both sides of the stern. It sits on a wood cradle base on which is affixed an engraved brass plaque: Presented to / PRESIDENT FRANKLIN D. ROOSEVELT / by the Washington State Federation / of Scandinavian-American Democratic Clubs / September 1937 Seattle, Wash. The entire pieces is attached to a larger wooden base.
