Physical DescriptionA model of a bonito boat, an outrigger canoe for fishing. Carved from one piece of wood and with a natural finish, the boat has three paddles and a bamboo fishing pole, line, and lure.
Historical NoteThis model was presented to President Roosevelt by High Chief Mauga and the chiefs of Pago Pago, the capital of American Samoa.
