Physical DescriptionA crayon on cardstock drawing of Lakota tribal chief, Red Cloud. The forward-facing portrait, done in shades of red-orange, shows Red Cloud from the chest up. He is wearing a single feather in his hair and appears to have a blanket wrapped around his shoulders. Written by the artist in the upper left corner: CHIEF RED-CLOUD. / SIOUX. / 1899. The drawing is signed by the artist in the lower right corner: E. A. BURBANK. / PINE RIDGE / S. DAK.
