Physical DescriptionA painted plaster statuette of Uncle Sam and a donkey. The sculpture shows the standing figures of Uncle Sam (left) and a Democratic donkey (right) standing on a base with the wording: THE WINNER. The donkey is dressed in a pair of yellow boxing shorts and sports boxing gloves on its front hooves. Uncle Sam is holding up the donkey's right hoof in triumph. Lying on the ground behind Uncle Sam and the donkey is the figure of an unconscious Republican elephant, also wearing boxing gloves and a green pair of boxing shorts. The artist's name is molded into the back of the base: J.G. Reed.
