Physical DescriptionA black and white lithographic print depicting a busy pedestrian street scene in New York City. It shows snow shovelers and pedestrians with umbrellas on a city sidewalk with a window in the background through which can be seen two portly men in a club. A penciled title is centered below the lithograph: THREE LANE TRAFFIC. The artist's signature is in pencil in the lower right corner below the image: Harry Gottlieb. Stamped in the lower left corner below the image: FEDERAL ART PROJECT / NYC WPA.

The print is matted, glazed, and framed in a 1/2" black wood frame with gilt liner. The original backer paper is stored on the reverse. Attached to original backer are two stickers. One is a typed WPA Art Program Identification Card which gives the name of the artist, the state of origin, the medium of the artwork, and the title. The other sticker is the red and white sticker of the framer, Arax Gallery, Poughkeepsie, New York.
