The nighttime scene shows the hotel and other illuminated buildings at Central Park, South in the background, partially reflected in a lake in the foreground. Printed below the image in the lower left: FEDERAL ART PROJECT / NYC WPA. The title is written in pencil below the image, center: The Plaza - N.Y. The artist's signature is in pencil below the image in the lower right: Nat Lowell. The number "2" is written in pencil in the lower right corner.
