Physical DescriptionA birdseye maple wedge-shaped calendar holder with six double-sided calendar cards for the year 1962 (two months on each card). The cards hang on metal rings allowing them to be flipped over to the opposite side of the holder. The maker of the calendar cards is printed on the bottom of each card: National Blank Book Co., Holyoke, Mass. / 55-921 / Made in U.S. A. [reverse side of each card]. The underside of the holder is lined with green felt. Also adhered to the underside of the holder is a round sticker with printed and written text that reads: ESTATE OF ELEANOR ROOSEVELT / NO. 946 / HYDE PARK, N.Y.
Historical NoteThis holder with calendar cards was used by Eleanor Roosevelt on her desk at Val-Kill Cottage in Hyde Park, NY.

Custodial History NoteListed in a 1964 auction of items from the Estate of Eleanor Roosevelt, the desk calendar was purchased by the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum.
