Physical Descriptiona) A gold stickpin. The head of the pin is in the form of three feathers made of platinum and set with nine small diamonds and three seed pearls.

b) A small, rectangular black leather Tiffany and Co. jewelry box. The interior is lined in white fabric. Imprinted in gilt lettering on the interior of the lid: TIFFANY & CO. / NEW YORK/ PARIS-LONDON.

c) A small white White House card bearing an ink note in FDR's handwriting: My usher's pin designed by me, 1905 FDR. The card is stored in the Tiffany box (see b).
Historical NoteFDR designed stickpins for his wedding ushers. The three feathers are from the crest of the Roosevelt coat of arms. This stickpin is on display in the COURTSHIP AND MARRIAGE exhibit in the Museum’s FOUNDATIONS OF A PUBLIC LIFE gallery.
