Physical DescriptionA round pinback button from Wendell Willkie's campaign. Blue text on a white background reads: FOR PRESIDENT / WILL-. Suspended from a hole at the bottom of the button is a small, silver-colored metal key. The manufacturer's and issuer's information, as well as a union bug, are printed along the edge of the button. The button is copyrighted (1940) by the Bridgeport Refinishing Company and manufactured by the Bastian Brothers Company.
Historical NoteWendell Willkie was the Republican Party’s presidential candidate in 1940.
