Physical DescriptionA lever filler fountain pen. The black plastic pen has a silver-colored metal lever and trim and a stainless steel nib. The maker's information is impressed into the side of the pen: ESTERBROOK MADE IN U.S.A. Incised on the nib: ESTERBROOK / 2668 / MADE IN U.S.A.
Historical NoteThis fountain pen, along with an accompanying pen holder (see MO 1970.52a), was used by Eleanor Roosevelt on her desk at Val-Kill Cottage in Hyde Park, NY.

Custodial History NoteListed in a 1964 auction of items from the Estate of Eleanor Roosevelt and purchased by Abba Schwartz. Donated to the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum by Abba Schwartz in 1970.
