The painting is framed in a 2 3/4"w gold-painted wood frame. A metal plaque attached to the bottom center of the frame reads: PUBLIC WORKS OF ART PROJECT.
Historical NoteThis painting was created for the Treasury Department’s Public Works of Art Project (PWAP) Region #2. It was displayed at a PWAP exhibit at the Corcoran Gallery from April 24-May 20, 1934. The artist was a member of the Dutchess County (New York) Art Association.
