Physical DescriptionA collapsible black top hat with a matching hat band. The hat is covered in black grosgrain silk and the interior is lined with black grosgrain silk and white silk. The retailer's information is stamped in black on the interior of the flat crown: ESTABLISHED 1896 / [retailer's logo] / LANGROCK.
Historical NoteEleanor Roosevelt gave this hat to her friend, donor Joseph P. Lash, with the information that it had been worn by Franklin D. Roosevelt.
