Physical DescriptionA long trestle bench with a medium-dark finish. Wood pegs, along with a tongue-and-groove design, have been used to fasten most of the pieces together. Screws have been used for the side stretchers on the underside. The manufacturer’s mark is stamped on the underside: 44 F VAL-KILL.
Historical NoteThis bench was used by Eleanor Roosevelt at Val-Kill Cottage in Hyde Park, New York.
