Physical DescriptionA handwritten copy of the prayer of Sir Francis Drake. It is written in blue ink on a white card. The first line is: O, Lord God, where thou givest Thy.
Historical NoteThis prayer was among the items found inside Eleanor Roosevelt’s wallet after her death. A facsimile of the prayer is displayed alongside other items found in the wallet in the Museum’s FIRST LADY OF THE WORLD gallery.
