Physical DescriptionA black and white photostatic copy of a cartoon with a humorous reference to Eleanor Roosevelt's tendency to show up in unexpected places as First Lady. The cartoon features an illustration of two miners in a tunnel shoveling coal into a minecart. One of the miners looks up and exclaims, "For gosh sakes, here comes Mrs. Roosevelt!” The artist’s facsimile signature is in the lower right: “Robt. Day.”
The print is within a red window mat with two cutouts below the illustration to show the date and name of the magazine the cartoon was published in: “JUNE 3, 1933 / THE NEW YORKER.”
