Physical DescriptionA round pinback coat-tail button from the campaigns of Sherman Minton, Franklin Roosevelt, and Henry Schricker. The button consists of three horizontal bands in red, white, and blue. Printed on the bands is white and blue text that reads: MINTON / ROOSEVELT / SCHRICKER. The manufacturer's name and a union bug are printed on the rim of the button.
Historical NoteThis 1940 campaign button features presidential candidate Franklin Roosevelt, Sherman Minton, the Democratic Party's unsuccessful candidate for reelection to the U.S. Senate from Indiana, and Henry Schricker, the Democratic Party's successful candidate for governor of Indiana.
