Physical DescriptionA round pinback button from Franklin Roosevelt's campaign. In the center of the white button is the blue and red text: P.A.C. / 1944. Around the perimeter of the button, also in red and blue text and punctuated by several stars, is text that reads: POLITICAL ACTION COMMITTEE / INDIANA. The manufacturer's information is printed along the rim.
Historical NoteDemocrats circulated a wide variety of campaign buttons, including many produced by labor unions. The political action committee (PAC) of the Congress of Industrial Organizations (CIO) was especially active in the campaign.
