Physical DescriptionAn Air Travel Card (International), card number A 21677. It is signed in ink at the bottom of the obverse side: Eleanor Roosevelt. Inserted into the reverse of the card is a metal charge plate: A 3898 W 21677 / ELEANOR ROOSEVELT / UNITED FEATURE / SYNDICATE INC. The card is permanently inserted into a protective plastic sleeve.
Historical NoteThis card was among the items found inside Eleanor Roosevelt’s wallet after her death. A facsimile of the card is displayed alongside other items found in the wallet in the Museum’s FIRST LADY OF THE WORLD gallery.
