Physical DescriptionA round pinback button, with accessories, from Franklin Roosevelt's campaign. The solid white button has a black and white halftone headshot of FDR in the center. Above the image is PAC in white letters on a blue oval. Below the image is OK in blue letters within a red circle.

Attached to the button is a folded-over red, white and blue striped ribbon from which a miniature metal horseshoe is suspended.
Historical NoteDemocrats circulated a wide variety of campaign buttons, including many produced by labor unions. The political action committee (PAC) of the Congress of Industrial Organizations (CIO) was especially active in the campaign.
