Physical DescriptionAn unused, round, coat-tail lapel tab from the campaigns of Franklin Roosevelt and Frank Fitzgerald. The button consists of three horizontal bands in red, white, and blue. Printed on the bands is white and blue text that reads: UAW / ROOSEVELT / FITZGERALD [underlined in red] / CIO. The manufacturer's information and two union bugs are printed on the tab.
Historical NoteThis 1940 campaign lapel tab, issued by the United Auto Workers (UAW), features presidential candidate Franklin Roosevelt and Frank Fitzgerald, the Democratic Party's unsuccessful candidate for the U.S. Senate from Michigan.
