Physical DescriptionA small, oblong pocket mirror. On the white, coated paper front is a tinted illustrated portrait of FDR. The portrait is encircled by red and blue oval bands with white lettering on the blue band that reads: FRANKLIN DELANO ROOSEVELT / DAILY & SUNDAY TIMES. A mirror is inserted into the reverse side.
Historical NoteFranklin Roosevelt loomed large in American popular culture. Elected to four terms as America’s president, he became a familiar presence on the radio and in newspapers, magazines, and newsreels. Inevitably, his well-known likeness appeared on products such as this pocket mirror.
