Physical DescriptionA World War II U.S. Army conservation poster. The color poster features a graphic illustration of a broken mercury thermometer. Pointing to the thermometer is a large red arrow with the words “STOP BREAKAGE.” Along the bottom of the poster is a yellow band with black text that instructs: "DON'T LEAVE THERMOMETER WHERE IT CAN BE BROKEN / ALWAYS REPLACE THERMOMETER IN CASE AFTER USING / DON'T MISPLACE THERMOMETER OR CASE."

Also at the bottom of the poster is the U.S. Army Conservation Program “SAVE” logo and small text that reads: “U.S. GOVERNMENT PRINTING OFFICE : 1943—O-557772 / ARMY CONSERVATION PROJECT No. 16-M-1.”

Printed on the reverse side of the poster are instructions for posting.
