Physical DescriptionA Boulder Dam dedication pin in the shape of a silver-colored metal key. Raised lettering on the shaft and bow of the key reads: “DEDICATION OF BOULDER DAM / BY FRANKLIN D. ROOSEVELT, PRESIDENT / SEPTEMBER 26TH. 1935 / B•P•O•E. 1468 / LAS VEGAS, NEVADA.”
The manufacturer’s name is stamped onto the reverse of the pin: “L.A. PUB. STP. CO.”
Historical NoteThough the dedication date on this Boulder Dam (now known as the Hoover Dam) commemorative pin is listed as September 26 1935, President Roosevelt actually dedicated the dam on September 30, 1935.Additional DetailsThe manufacturer’s name is stamped onto the reverse of the pin: “L.A.
