Text below the illustration states: “grind out every butt! / CIGARETTES CAUSED 1700 FIRES IN ARMY BUILDINGS LAST YEAR.”
In the bottom margin of the poster is the U.S. Army Conservation Program “SAVE” logo and small text that reads: “Army Conservation Project No. 158-E-37 / U.S. GOVERNMENT PRINTING OFFICE 1945—O-643154."
