Physical DescriptionA World War II U.S. Army conservation poster. The black, white, and orange-red poster features a large illustration of a vehicle battery punching through a page of battery installation instructions. A tag hanging from one of the battery cell connectors reads “* OK.” Below the image of the battery is a text box that instructs: “MAKE BATTERIES LAST LONGER / 1 INSTALL THEM SECURELY / 2 SERVICE THEM REGULARLY / * See the TM for your equipment.”

Additional small text along the bottom of the poster includes the U.S. Army Conservation Program “SAVE” logo, instructions for distribution, and “ARMY CONSERVATION PROJECT NO. 129-O-23 / U.S. GOVERNMENT PRINTING OFFICE : 1943—O-617791.”

Printed on the reverse side of the poster are instructions for posting and distribution.
