Physical DescriptionA replica of the Jonker diamond with the initials "E R" engraved in blue on the surface.

The replica diamond is housed in a custom-made black leather box which opens at the center and is hinged on either side. Gilt lettering along the front edge of the box reads: Replica Jonker Diamond. The interior of the box is lined with black velvet and natural-colored fabric. Adhered to the underside of the box is a paper sticker with a typed number: 11-4-40 9.
Historical NoteThe Jonker diamond was found at the Elandsfontein mine in South Africa by Johannes Jacobus Jonker in 1934. Weighing 726 carats, the diamond is one of the largest uncut gems ever found.
